Hunter Time

I have Hunter today. This is what we get to do when there are no parents around to scold us. Haha. We had been outside. It was sunny and warm this morning, so Hunter played in the sandbox and then we played soccer and golf. So I took off the old sandy clothes, hence the lunch on the counter. These were some new (old) blocks I had just purchased, that are supposed to be 3-5 year old friendly. They are a little hard for a 3 1/2 year old to snap together, but we still had fun.

Bowl

Here is a bowl that Tim turned on his lathe. It is from a tree that he cut down in Diane Thom's back yard. Sure brings out the grain.

Sandra and Hunter

Today Sandra was doing something on her i-phone - playing a game or something - and Hunter must have sat there and watched her for close to an hour.

Peanut Butter Cookies

Yesterday I made Peanut Butter Cookies. I'm having one right now with a cup of Market Spice Tea. Yum. I was pondering the thought that sometimes the old-fashioned recipes are just as good or better than some of the newer ones. I just dug out my old Betty Crocker cookbook and made up these cookies. I noticed in a cookbook the other day that you can make a dessert - a peanut butter cookie on the bottom, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup over the top.

New Bear in Our House

Carissa has been making these bears for her nieces and nephews and knitting the clothes as well, so I just had to make one, too. He's 11 inches tall, and he now sits by my chair.

Well, you know, birthdays come all too soon, don't they. Todd and I celebrate together. Amy outdid herself by making homemade pizza, topped off with a DQ peppermint chocolate ice cream cake!!

Sweater

This is a sweater that I finally finished knitting and am blocking the pieces getting ready to sew it together. We will see how it fits.

Jeff's Birthday and miscellaneous

Todd and Amy's house with a beautiful new floor.

Grandpa and Hunter playing cars.

Jeff's birthday - the cake with Hunter's favorite car on it!

Hunter and I making cookies. The reason I am looking so anxious is that the pan is hot - you take the cookies out when almost done and add the Hershey's kiss.

Trip To California - Thanksgiving 2009

A little snow at the beginning. But that doesn't last long!

Ben made omelets for us for breakfast. Delicious!

Relaxing and letting the meal settle.

Our Thanksgiving.

Tim and Ben on top of Bishop's Peak near the kids' place.

Solvang - a Dutch village along the lines of Leavenworth.

The swimming pool. (One of them). At Hearst Castle.

I can't begin to tell you how beautiful the Hearst Castle is. For example, the Egyptian statues are almost 4,000 years old. Randolph Hearst imported them from Egypt.

Cal-Poly campus.

The beautiful Oregon coast.
